Check the bearing, usually the bearing going out contacts the sensor. The rust shouldn't be a huge issue, ABS sensors work with rusty reluctors all the time.

That sled didn't have float suspension, they used a Fox Position Sensitive shock in the the rear track shock. That Edge model uses the Position Sensitive 2. You can get all the shock assembly part numbers from the parts lookup on Polaris website, see below...

I don't think those older displays could show trouble codes like the newer ones can, you'd have to check in the owners manual. The link to them on Polaris website is below. Otherwise the only way to see them is plugging them in diagnostic software...

Damn, they have that thing wound up tight at speed. The Doo is like its in another gear, like when the auto mfrs went from 3 speeds to 4speed overdrives back in the 80s. Sounds like theres something to be gained there in clutching or gearing depending on the motors torque output down lower.

I saw your post elsewhere asking this, the only thing no one mentioned and I would add is to check all the driveline alignment. Make sure everything is turning smooth. Also I'm willing to bet Polaris has a very fat tune being those are newly released motors and they didnt want warranty issues...
