RMK 500 1998 fuel pump

I am deciding to repair my fuel pump, but wonder if other fuel pumps will work. Does it have to be the same Minkuni fuel pump or can I use another model?

You are risking it not being the same flowrate, you should be able to find rebuild kits for almost all the mikuni pumps out there?
I wound up ordering a snowmobile repair kit for a Honda small engine because they only would sell the pump assembly.
