I blew a belt last year, it bent up the foot rest area really bad and broke off a mounting ear on the volt regulator, so it was detatched!
i had to get back home, so continued to ride it, regulator was dangling and sparking as it ouching - grd where it should have been mounted.
it was night nothing i could do.
tail lights burned out and eventualy the headlights , handle grip heater burnd up.
over the summer i Removed foot rest , did some straighting, remounted regulator, replaced a number of Bulbs and sockets, replaced handle grip heaters and grips.
it runs fine!, However it just won't idle. i have to hold the throttle just a little bit, i tried turning the idle screw in even all the way stil won't idle.
Any thoughts ? Did i burn out the Throttle position sensor? I did have the throttle block on handle bar off during repairs.

ah ha, I figured it out.
There is a small spring loaded button behind the thumb throttle, that appears to be tied in with the kill switch.
i noticerd it wasn't stickiing out. looked a my other sled and it was sticking out and spring loaded.
took it apart and there is a small screw that holds it in place, i had missed putting it in.
put it in and all is well, idling fine!
