    no lights, handwarmers

There is no modification to the new regulator necessary. I dug out the installation paperwork that came with the regulator and it clearly states that the regulator brown wire can be ignored in all cases. The ground wire on that aluminum plate should be connected directly to the regulator...

I never messed with the one on my 02 edge so they must've switched sides at some point

Ok, so they made a common regulator at some point for the older machines, I ran into this on my 00 xc700 when that blew. You just plug the yellow male side of that regulator connector back into one of the yellows on that plug. Kinda clunky but it is what it is. That being said, with it unplugged...

Take a picture of what you have going on, that sled originally had a single wire regulator according to the parts diagrams. Is there a single yellow wire hanging out somewhere near the right footwell with nothing attached?

2006 FS 750 Touring Stop switch, thether, or kill switch not shutting down engine.

I would take a closer look at the ignition still since its all wired in parallel with the other safety devices. You already said the slap switch works so its not a problem at the ECU

Wrong regulator, there are 2 different ones depending on if you have electric start. The one you describe having is for the pull start sleds.

2006 FS 750 Touring Stop switch, thether, or kill switch not shutting down engine.

I wouldn't get too deep before double checking the key switch itself. After years of getting water in them, they are known to have problems and do weird things.

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

The part I'm pointing at is an inline metal filter in the assembly, most likely plugged. SPI makes an aftermarket version of this.

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

By pickup, I mean the assembly that sucks the gas from the bottom of the tank, not the fuel pump itself. See the arrow below.

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

The recall question was aimed at Skatike27, only the '13 & '14 pro-ride sleds were part of the recall for some reason. In your case, I'd question the fuel pickup still, there's an inline filter on those that could be getting plugged. Sounds like the pump solved a few voltage issues on that post...

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

That sounds high. Has the fuel pickup in the tank ever been replaced? They get plugged over time and need to be replaced, usually you can hear the pump whining when this happens..

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

Has the recall work been done on the 2013? Those year sleds got a whole new fuel pump assembly as part of the recall.

I was talking on the wiring harness side.....

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

The stator & VR plugs all look ok? Not even slightly deformed? I know people have had them get too hot and melt in the past.

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

Yeah my next comment was going to be I think you have a wiring gremlin somewhere in the harness, I was hoping the ground continuity check of the stator harness was going to fail and make it easy but the fact it came back to life after you screwed around with the connections for a while is...

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

Was this with the new capacitor you bought or the original? Also was that stator you bought Polairs OEM or aftermarket?

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

Check the resistance of both those stator circuits, per the manual the Z circuit to the VR has the higher resistance value 0.2 Ohms ( more coils). They unfortunately didn't give a good way to check the VR itself, the AXYS manual has diode checks you can perform on that VR but I havent seen it...

Well that kind of rules that out, thats what I primarily run too, but still worth checking the bowls just in case.

The Fitch catalysts only kill off any bacteria present to slow the fuel degredation, nothing more, despite their claims. You could still be building deposits on the jets, especially with crap ethanol that hates brass. Where are you primarily buying gas? Something with good detergent, or mostly...

    Wont start without unplugging capacitor

I'm honestly out of ideas, only thing I have left, did you check the yellow wires for continuity to ground? directly at the stator plug and at the connection to the VR?
