On the Assault there is a guy from Maine that makes mounts to fit the Assault without drilling holes. (( ONE RIG DESIGN )) Look him up online if interested. Mine are Black but I think he does other colors? These ones are molded plastic
Greg from JAWS told me not to use the SLP resistor. He said it would fall on its face?? So my head tells me it doesn't like extra fuel after 7700rpm?? I'm not saying it doesn't as I believe Brock said it is better with a Fuel Controller. I don't question Brock's testing as him and Doc do an...
Curious if the SLP Pipe fits with the stock can? "Pipe Laws here in Maine."
I know some aftermarket pipes claim they produce more power with the stock can.
Some lose power with the lighter aftermarket can. Some claim the opposite.
So lots of questions???
I'd love to run the SLP Can with the pipe...
Thanks for chiming in Brock. Good to know I'm not losing it. It sure seems different than my 2015 & 16 in respect to RPM.
So in regards to where the target RPM should be stock? Used to be 8200-8250 from all of my research.
With the timing change is that still a good target? Or are you saying...
Nobody wants to chime in? I guess it's just me? Sure seems like the 2017 HO is pulling more stock RPM in break in mode. My friends stock sleds out of Break In mode seem like they are also pulling more RPM than the past two years models. Maybe nothing has changed and it is all in our heads?
STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO CHIME IN ON THE DRILLING HOLES IN THEIR HYFAX TUNNEL PROTECTORS FOR EXTRA COOLING. MY DEALER TOLD ME IT WOULD BE A WASTE OF MY TIME. MY BUDDY DID IT TO HIS SLED AND WE ARE RUNNING THE SAME TEMPS ON TRAIL. MINE AREN'T DRILLED YET. AS BROCK SAID, IT CAN'T HURT...
I'VE RUN BOTH ON MANY DIFFERENT SLEDS. THE 375 OF COURSE WILL HAVE LESS CHANCE OF BENDING AND THEY WILL GET DECENT TRACTION. THE 450 WILL BE PRONE TO BENDING A LITTLE EASIER BUT I WOULDN'T LET THAT SWAY YOU. IF YOU WANT BETTER TRACTION DO IT. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. SOME PEOPLE STILL USE...
Wondering how much has changed with this new 2017 Axys motor. It seems Polaris has re-written the ECU with some new parameters. Guessing in 2015 when they unveiled the new H.O. motor they had some serious safety precautions set to make sure this new motor was durable and not one that would have...
Isn't the whole idea of the expensive Aluminum ones for cooling purposes. VS the Hyfax that doesn't transfer the heat as well? I know the Aluminum ones were $200 and I told my dealer to put them on. After getting my sled home I see the dealer used the Hyfax??
I agree with Brock's last comment. My Switch 137" is a damn good trail sled, "Once suspension was dialed in". The best I've ever ridden. I wouldn't call myself a 60/40 with the Pro-S I've been riding. Definitely more trail miles for me. Probably 90/10. I've poked off trail a few times after some...
Has the SLP pipe been dropped from everybody's testing here? I was led to believe from last years Pipe Shoot Out that the SLP Pipe wasn't that great. Although from past years of actual Real World Trail Riding that the SLP was a Great Pipe for me. So I jumped the gun and ran out and hooked both...
CORY. Thanks for the info on how the D.W. reads a DET. It's interesting info and if that's how it works.... It makes sense to me.
BROCK. Great info and explanation. What was your riding elevation for testing?
Dr. Notadoo. Would love to see a Pic of your Installed Digital AFR gauge. Little...
