Just something we always have done. My '12 & '15 Switchbacks were always close to the Ski-Doos. Not with the Assault.

I have a 2017 Assault 800 that I changed out the gauge to the PIDD when new. The odometer/trip seems to read less than my friend's MX-Z & Renegade for a 175-200 mile ride mine reads about 7 miles less. When I had my 2015 Pro-S they were always within 2-3 tenths. Anyone else notice this??

What year are the sleds with this issue?

I used 114 Woody's 1.450" . Made my own protectors from slides (same as what you would use for the sled)

Had one guy drill his and said it made no difference in temps. I also know of at least two guys running the 1.450 studs in the center and not adding the tunnel protectors. Both have several hundred miles on their sleds.

Did that make a difference in temps?

Not yet, but soon. Snow is in the forcast.
